Eagle’s Cry
Hot Lunch Information – MCCA will be serving hot lunches starting September 28. Cost for each lunch is $3.50 per lunch/per student. Students who do not wish to order hot lunches will need to pack their lunch, but can still order milk or water to drink. Kindergarten students may also order milk for their snack time each day. The cost of the milk/water is $.50 per container. A Lunch Order Form and a Lunch Menu for September/October are attached to today’s Eagle’s Cry. Please fill out the Lunch Order Form and return it to your child’s teacher NO LATER than 9:00 a.m. this Friday, September 18 for the week of September 28 through October 2.
Students will need to pack a lunch for the week of September 21-23.
Please note that parents may order lunches for their students for the whole month at the beginning of each month!
To help the Hot Lunch Program run smoothly, we are asking parents to pay for their student’s lunches when they hand in their form, or at the beginning or end of each week. You may also pay for the whole month if you choose. ALL lunches need to be paid in full by the last day of each month or the student(s) will have to pack their lunch until the bill is paid in full.
If your child will be tardy on a given day and has ordered a Hot Lunch for that day, please inform the school office that morning and let us know if your child will be arriving in time for them to eat their Hot Lunch.
Kitchen Cupboard – The Kitchen Cupboard for students who forget their lunches is in need of restocking for the upcoming year. If you can help in any way, please send in your donations to the school office. (Examples of items needed: soups, Ramen noodles, microwave mac & cheese, fruit cups, pudding cups, chips, crackers, individual packs of cookies, fruit snacks, etc.) Thank you!
Upcoming – MCCA will be sponsoring a “Race for Education” jog-a-thon this fall to raise money for general expenses. The Kick-Off packet will be coming home TODAY with each student. Please take the time to read this important packet. The Race for Education will take place on Wednesday, October 28.
Reminder – MCCA will be dismissing students at 12:00 NEXT Wednesday, September 23 and school will be closed on Thursday & Friday; September 25 and 26 due to the teacher’s going to the KCEA Teacher’s Conference in Lancaster.
WEIS Market – MCCA is teaming up with Weis Market in their annual Weis 4 School program. If you have a Weis Rewards card, please register it to earn money for our school simply by shopping at Weis. Attached to today’s Eagle’s Cry is an informational letter about this program!
Casual Day – There will be a Casual Day this Friday, September 18. The cost is $2 to participate and all money collected will be put towards this winter’s heating bill. REMEMBER: check your Eagle’s Cry weekly to see if there will be a Casual Day on Friday or not!
Please Note – Casual Day is NOT sloppy dress or P.E. Day! Casual Day is nice casual. (Jeans may be worn but are not to have holes or cuts in them. Shorts may be work but MUST come within 2 inches of the knee.)
Soccer – This Thursday, September 17, our High School soccer team will be playing an intramural game from 3:00-4:15 here at the school. This game will include our 5th & 6th grade soccer players! You will need a chair if you come as the temporary field is not near bleachers.
