Hot Lunch Information – Hot Lunches begin next Monday, September 28.
If your child will be tardy on a given day and has ordered a Hot Lunch for that day, please inform the school office that morning and let us know if your child will be arriving in time for them to eat their Hot Lunch.
Students will need to pack a lunch for the week of September 21-23!
Kitchen Cupboard – The Kitchen Cupboard for students who forget their lunches is in need of restocking for the upcoming year. If you can help in any way, please send in your donations to the school office. (Examples of items needed: soups, Ramen noodles, microwave mac & cheese, fruit cups, pudding cups, chips, crackers, individual packs of cookies, fruit snacks, etc.) Thank you!
Reminder – MCCA will be dismissing students at 12:00 TOMORROW, Wednesday, September 23 and school will be closed on Thursday & Friday; September 25 and 26 due to the teacher’s going to the KCEA Teacher’s Conference in Lancaster.
Harshbarger’s Sub & Malt Fund Raiser – ALL money and order forms are due into the school office by next Thursday October 1! Orders will be ready for pick up at the school cafeteria on Thursday, October 8 between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Extra order forms are available in the school office.
Casual Day – There will be a FREE Casual Day Wednesday, September 23 for ALL staff and students!
Please Note – Casual Day is NOT sloppy dress or P.E. Day! Casual Day is nice casual. (Jeans may be worn but are not to have holes or cuts in them. Shorts may be work but MUST come within 2 inches of the knee.)
Upcoming – MCCA will be sponsoring a “Race for Education” jog-a-thon this fall to raise money for general expenses. The Race for Education will take place on Wednesday, October 28.
The names for the Race for Education are due into the office by next Monday, September 28!
ATTENTION PARENTS – If your child does NOT participate in the Race for Education (by sending in labels), they will NOT be eligible for the Most Laps Run Medal at the end of the year!
R.F.E. Reminder – If every students bring just 10 names and addresses (or more if possible) their homeroom will earn an ice cream sundae party!
Note from the School Nurse – Act 20 of 2026, Part 4 states that students may now be exempt from height & weight measurements upon a parent or guardian’s written request. Each year the school nurse, along with the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit, provide free health screenings to all students. This includes height, weight, vision screening and hearing screening. The data from these screenings is stored confidentially. While these screenings for height & weight are kept confidential, some students find this distressing. If you would like to only have vision and hearing screenings and not the height & weight screening for your child/children, please notify the school in writing by Friday, October 9.
